Marjorie Hall : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Smith Hall, age 81, of Blairsville, who passed away Thursday evening, January 19, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Hall was born in Lakeland, Georgia, a daughter of the late Virgil Smith and Lola Estelle Knight Smith. She and her late husband, Hank, had been the owners of Laurel Springs Nursery in Blairsville. Marjorie was a member of the Blairsville Garden Club, and a member of Coosa United Methodist Church. She was an artist and was a Girl Scout leader for many years.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Henry “Hank” Hall, who passed away in 2005; and a brother, James Orvil Smith.

Surviving family members include daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Dennis Jaegle, of Blairsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Heather Hall, of Spanaway, Washington, and Ken and Marti Hall of Garner, North Carolina; a brother, George W. Smith, of Lake Mary, Florida; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Marjorie have been scheduled for Sunday, January 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Coosa United Methodist Church, with Rev. Earl Bishop, Rev. Victory McVay, and Rev. Jim Aiken officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Coosa United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, January 21st, between the hours of 6 until 9 p.m.
