Ms. Emogene “Jean” Nichols, age 87, of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, January 09, 2012, at the Vista Care Midtown in Atlanta, GA. Ms. Nichols was born on October 3, 1925 in Fannin County, GA to the late George Nichols and Leslie Baugh Nichols. She worked as a house painter and was a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Evelyn Nichols of Mineral Bluff, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 11, at 3:00 PM from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 PM.
