Mrs. Kamilla Ledford, age 69, of McDonough, Georgia passed away January 5, 2012 at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. .
Mrs. Ledford was born December 14, 1942 in Cherokee County North Carolina the daughter of the late Mark and Geneva Hill Hamby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Harold Ledford.
She was a people person and always put others first in their time of need. Kamilla had a passion for gardening and making her own canned goods. She retired from JC Penney with over 20 years of service
Her recent enjoyment was refurbishing her husband’s original family home place located in Liberty, NC
Survivors include: sons: Stephen Ledford of McDonough, Ga. and Eric Ledford of Covington, Ga, sisters: Martene Pawlak of Tonawanda, NY and Tina Padgett of Carnesville, GA, brothers: Eddie Hamby of Niagara Falls, NY and James Douglas of Tallahassee, FL, nieces: Elizabeth Peardon of Knoxville, TN, Diane White and Pam Wilcox both of Turtletown, TN many other nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services: Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Bernie Dixon officiating. Music provided by Julian Smith. Interment will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Sunday, January 08, 2012 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
