Steve Allen : Obituary

Steve Allen, age 81 of Mineral Bluff, passed away November 23, 2011 at his home. Steve was born April 29, 1930 in Fannin County , GA to the late Aaron Elmore and Mary Dilbeck Allen. A member of New Liberty Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marcella Pittman Allen and one son Thomas Elmore Allen. He was a good Christian, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include: daughter, Geneva Cochran & Jewell Cole, daughter, Rebecca Ruth Verner & Richard Green, son, Jeff Allen & wife Becky Allen, daughter, Norma Louise Hawkins, sister, Dorothy Hedden, daughter-in-law, Teresa Queen. Also eleven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Kenneth Mann, Jimmy Holsonback and Roy Clore officiating. Music provided by the New River Choir and the New Liberty Choir. Interment will follow in Patterson Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jake Allen, Jamie Green, Chad Green, Daniel Allen, Steven Allen, and Joseph Hawkins.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 pm Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
