Six Softball Players Make All-Region Team for the Lady Rebels

The Fannin County Lady Rebels softball team’s unprecedented success, which ended in a trip to the “Elite Eight in Columbus, produced six players that made the 8AA All Region Team. Infielder Alexis Collis and outfielder Candace “Blitzkrieg” German made first team. Pitcher Mercedes “Sadie” Golden, infielders Karly Thompson and Missy Dixon, and outfielder Natalie McLaughlin made the second team. Thompson and Dixon are the only two who will be back as everyone else is a graduating senior.
