Lloyd Stalcup : Obituary

Mr. Lloyd Alexander (Buzz) Stalcup, age 61 of Murphy, passed away September 25, 2011 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Mr. Stalcup was born January 15, 1950 in Westfer, OR to the late Frank Stalcup and the late Edna Hughes Stalcup. A member of Martins Creek United Methodist Church, he was preceded in death by father, Frank Stalcup, mother, Edna Hughes Stalcup, sisters, Linda Stalcup and Rosie Hogsed.

Survivors include: wife, Lou Ellen Stalcup, son, Brian Gentry of Murphy. Sister, Brenda Hemphill of Blairsville, Ga. Brother, Tommy Stalcup of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Funeral services: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Aud Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Martins Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tim Panter, Michael Ledford, John Mason, Tim Stalcup, Mike Stalcup and Ed Payne.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 pm on Wednesday September 28, 2011.
