Dennie Lee Sutton : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Dennie Lee Sutton, age 51, of Turtletown, TN who passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Dennie worked in retail sales and attended Community Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Mamie Taylor Sutton of the home; son, Michael Davis of Athens, TN; daughter, Sarah (Thomas) Mickens of Copperhill, TN; brothers, Doug Sutton and Stevie Sutton, both of Tellico Plains, TN; sister, Nola Freeman of Tellico Plains, TN; three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 15th at 1:00 p.m. from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Allen and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid. Pallbearers selected to serve include, Johnny Smith, Thomas Mickens, Paul Johnson, Dustin Raper, Darrell Tankersley and Ken Wooten. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the home Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
