Ruby Mae Queen : Obituary

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Ruby Mae Queen, age 96, of Scottsboro, Alabama who passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at her home.Mrs. Queen was born in Fannin County to the late Walter and Ollie Fisher Galloway. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle Queen, son, Kenneth Queen and daughter, Revie Postelle.

She is survived by son, Hoyle Grady Queen, Jr of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters, Loretta (Stan) Moore of Scottsboro, AL, Jean Murray of Chatsworth, GA; brother, J.H.(Ellen) Galloway of S.C.; sister, Ruth Queen of Epworth, GA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Danny Queen and Duaine Griggs officiating. Pallbearers include Stephen Moore, Patrick Murray, Kris Queen, Bobby Queen, Matthew Crump and Keith Queen.

Interment will follow in the Mobile Baptist Church cemetery.
