James Lee Lequire, age 50 of Topton, NC passed away August 24, 2011 at his home.James was born April 8, 1961 in Bryson City, NC, to Lester and Margaret “Ann” Barker Lequire. He was Baptist in faith, he was preceded in death by his Father, Lester Lequire, step-son, Daniel Wood, and brother, Johnny Lequire.
Survivors include: wife, Sue Lequire, mother, Margaret “Ann” Lequire, one step-son, Jason Wood, four brothers, Glen Lequire, Jerry & wife Sandra Lequire, Dale & wife Pam Lequire and Chris & wife Audrey Lequire, one sister, Misty & husband Chuck Baldwin, also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lewis Welch officiating. Interment will follow in the Aquone Cemetery in Nantahala. Pallbearers include Keith Lovin, Ted Drake, Scotty Baker, Danny Rich, Roy Sharp, and Marvin Guffey. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Parker, Dale Palmer, Dale Shields, Jeff Price and Bob Hawkins.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Friday night at the funeral home.
