Mary Ruth Lancaster Ingram, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 7th, 2011 at her residence.She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County and a daughter of the late Gilbert and Marie Hogsed Lancaster. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Mary Ruth was the wife of the late Fred Clifford Ingram whom went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2006, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Gene Lancaster.

Surviving are three daughters, Wilma Ingram, Shirley Hall and Gary of Young Harris, GA, Diple Payne and Jerry of Brasstown, NC, two sons Stacy Ingram and Tina, and Scott Ingram and Kristi all of Hayesville, NC. She had twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends August 9th, 2011 from 2-4 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home in Peachtree.

Graveside service will follow immediately after at the Bethel Baptist Church in Warne, NC with Reverend Aud Brown officiating. Pallbearers include Stacy Ingram and “Tank”, Gary Hall, Eric Dills, Adam Dills, Dakota Ingram, and Kyle Ingram.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Mountain Home Nursing Service, P.O. Box 1306 Hayesville, NC 28904.
