Mrs. Eugene S. Davenport, age 85 of Blue Ridge, passed away August 4, 2011 at the Heritage Hospice in Marietta.Mrs. Davenport was born February 12, 1926 in Fannin County, GA to the late Walter Stanley and the late Mary Bell Messer Stanley. She had attended New Testiment Baptist Church, enjoyed sewing, puzzels and gardening, she was preceded in death by her father, Walter Stanley, mother, Mary Bell Stanley, son, Jerry Davenport, son, Mike Davenport, daughter, Margie Davenport.

Survivors include: daughter, Mary Anne Rose, son, Jesse Davenport, daughter, Trudy Hutchison, sister, Lois Nell Long, sister, Winnie Dillingham, sister, Helen Tipton, sister, Flora Bell Mashburn, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 5:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Pastor Sammy Ledford officiating.

Interment will follow in the Big Creek Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bryan Ledford, Adam Dickey, Richard Long, Kennon Davenport, and Jeff DeRenco.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Friday, August 05, 2011 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
