Mr. Jimmy Glenn Russell, age 77 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at his home following a period of declining health.Mr. Russell was born December 29, 1933 in Fannin, GA to the late John B. and Bessie Godfrey Russell. He attended Copperhill First United Methodist Church, had retired from Blue Ridge Telephone Company in 1997 and was a US Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Russell, Martha Russell, Ruth Ella Russell, Margie Elrod, Betty Roper and Linda Breedlove, brothers, James Russell, J. B. Russell and Charles Russell.
Survivors include: wife; Shirley Russell: brother; Jackie Russell; brother; Joe Russell: nieces, nephews and honorary family, the 1958 Class of Young Harris College.
Services: Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Copperhill First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jennings Neeld officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1 till 3 PM.
Flowers are being accepted, but family and friends may make donations to the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill’s Mission fund at P.O. Box 538 in Copperhill, TN 37317 or to their favorite charity.
