Ruby Barnes Hyatt, age 80 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Friday evening, June 3, 2011 at her home.Mrs. Hyatt was born February 15, 1931 in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late Glenn Barnes and the late Lestie Harper Barnes . She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, enjoyed going to flea markets and taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Hyatt in 2003.

Survivors include: daughter, Agnes (Larry) Helton daughter, Ann Bailey, daughter, Dale (Steve) Barton, son, Roger (Jeannie) Hyatt, Brother, Jerry Barnes, sister, Louise Leakey, Brother, Jackie Barnes, sister, Faye Mashburn, Brother, Wendell Barnes, sister in law, Jeanette (Jim) McDaris, sister in law, Geneva Hyatt, brother in law, Ralph Morris, sister in law, Etta Ballew granddaughter, Tonya Bell,, grandson, Chad Bailey, grandson, Brian Bailey, grandson, Brandon Barton, grandson, Justin Hyatt, granddaughter, Megan Hyatt, grandson, Brent Barton, great grandchildren, Colson Bailey, Jayden Bailey, Austin Bailey, Casen Bailey, Landon Bell, Aubrey Barton, Lacey Bell, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services: Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Scotty Graves and Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Music provided by the Pittman Family. Interment is in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Chad Bailey, Brian Bailey, Brandon Barton, Justin Hyatt, Brent Barton and Donald Bell. Honorary pallbearers: Morganton High School Class of 1948.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening 5 till 9 PM
