Victor “Vic” Donovan Boehning, Jr. : Obituary

Mr. Victor “Vic” Donovan Boehning, Jr., age 74 of Copperhill, TN passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011.Mr. Boehning was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mercia Boehning; brother, “Buddy” Boehning; sisters, Frankie Kinster and Donna Greene, all of Tampa, FL; also by his great-granddaughter Jerri Paige Cooper of Copperhill, TN. Vic retired from Verizon and served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was an active member of the Harbor Ministries and the Copper Basin Golf Club.

Vic is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Virginia Fish Boehning; two daughters, Kim Cooper and Kelly Panter, both of Copperhill, TN; two sons, Tyler Boehning of Blue Ridge, GA and Kacy Boehning of Orlando, FL; one sister, Brenda Holliman of Copperhill, TN; He also has twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Akins Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday. Mr. Boehning will lie in state at the Harbor Ministries at 35 W.TN Ave.,McCaysville, GA from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 30th . The Rev. Denise Caldwell will be officiating with music provided by Joe Fish, Jolene Foss and Brittany Cooper. Pallbearers include Jeff Boehning, Chris Shindelbower, Stephen Fish, Jim Fish, Jeff Dufoe and David Mintz. Honorary pallbearers include, Tyler Boehning, Joey Korn, Jake Cooper, Jesse Cooper, Kacy Panter, Anthony Cooper and Jonthan Boehning. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
