The Akins Funeral of Copperhill announces the death of Charles “Allen” Derrick, age 42, of Copperhill, TN who passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN.He was born on December 28, 1968 in Etowah, TN to the late Charles Glen and Barbara Ann Sayne Derrick. Allen was retired as a self employed builder in home construction. He was a member of Friendship #2 Baptist Church. Allen was a member of Fannin County Head Injury Support Group.

Survivors include son, Nathan Robinson of Epworth, GA; three brothers, Billy Derrick of Blairsville, GA, Glen Derrick of Athens, TN and Mike Derrick of Athens, TN; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tracie and Ricky Patterson of McCaysville, GA and Lisa and Tim Patterson of McCaysville, GA; one grandchild also survives.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Alton Towe officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.
