In a 8-AA Region North matchup, Fannin County Rebels defeated the Union County Panthers 11-6 in Blairsville Thursday night. Ryan Nix’s 2 run HR in the top of the 7th sealed the deal for the Rebels.On the night Nix was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s. James Bennett was 3 for 4 with a HR and 3 runs scored. Jordan Farmer was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI.Tyler McClure had 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Daniel Roper was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI’s. Brett Davis was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Korey Satterfield and Colby Bowers each had hit for the Rebels.

James Bennett pitched 5 complete innings for the Rebels, allowing 6 hits, striking out 8, and allowing 3 earned runs. Brandon Minter pitched 2 innings in relief to earn the win, allowing 1 hit, and striking out 2.
