Christine Sineath : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Mrs. Christine Sineath, age 88, of Blairsville, who passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 in Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Sineath was born in Eastman, Georgia, a daughter of the late Thomas Levin Cook and the late Lucy Mae Giddens Cook. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Union County, and had been active in Union General Hospital Auxiliary.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Holcombe “Si” Sineath, and a son, Jerry Sineath.
Mrs. Sineath is survived by and lovingly remembered by three sons: Timothy W. Sineath, of Lexington, Kentucky; Mark Sineath, of The Villages, Florida; and Keith Sineath, of Starke, Florida. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sineath have been scheduled for Monday, February 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Union County, with Rev. Ben Lewis officiating. The body will lie instate at the church starting at 1:30 p.m. the day of the funeral. Special music will be presented by First United Methodist Church Choir. Burial will be in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will begin on Sunday, February 27, between the hours of 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. If you wish, memorial contributions may be made to Union General Hospital Auxiliary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville.
