GILMER BOYS & GIRLS CLUB WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBER

The Boys & Girls Club of Gilmer County welcomed Cindy Trimble Kelly, ASID to its Advisory Board. An award-winning interior designer based in Blue Ridge, Georgia, Kelly recently donated her time and talents in the design of the Boys & Girls Club’s new facility at 1559 S. Main Street.
“We’re delighted Cindy has joined our Advisory Board,” said Bill Slaughter, President of the Boys & Girls Club of Gilmer County. “Her extensive experience in serving in non-profit and economic leadership activities will be invaluable to us as we prepare to meet aggressive fundraising goals in 2011.”
Kelly is owner of Trimble Kelly Studios and Rustic Gone Wild in Blue Ridge. Her impressive 30-year professional interior design career includes dozens of awards and a long list of leadership and service activities. She was recently appointed by Governor Sonny Purdue to serve on the Georgia State Board of Architects and Interior Designers. Some of her pro-bono and commuity projects include: sponsor of the Georgia Youth Apprentice Program; board member – Appalachian Children’s Emergency Shelter; board member – Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association; designer for the new Fannin County Chamber of Commerce; Second Wind Cancer Retreat and set designer for Blue Ridge Community Theatre.
Kelly is a graduate of Emory University and Rhode Island School of Design. She’s also a graduate of Leadership Fannin and Georgia Academy of Economic Development.
