The Fannin County Young Farmers Association held their monthly meeting and AG talk at Cucina Rustica on Jan. 18 at noon. Mark Lee owner of RC Drones Sales and Service was the month’s guest speaker. Mr. Lee discussed the use of drones in agriculture and brought several models for demonstration. He also donated 5 drones to be given as door prizes. Michelle Moran and Danny Mellman were the hosts for the meeting as well as the meal sponsors. Association business was discussed including the upcoming Georgia Young Farmer State Conference which will be held in Braselton at Chateu Elan Feb. 2-3. 20 members were in attendance, February’s monthly meeting and AG talk will be on Feb. 19 at 8:00am, AG talk presenter will be Mr. Carl Riggs from Trout Unlimited.

A group of Fannin County Young Farmers Association members attended the Sunbelt Agriculture Expo in Moultrie, Georgia on Tuesday, October 17. The Sunbelt Agriculture Expo is North America’s Premier Farm Show with 1200 plus exhibitors, 300 plus seminars and demonstrations, equipment driving ranges and test tracks, harvesting and tilling demonstrations.
