Rebels Bounce Back at Banks Expense Leave Leopards with Losses in Two Straight

The Fannin County High School Rebels baseball team bounced back from a 12 game losing streak to start a two game win streak. The streak resulting in the Rebels beating the Banks Leopard, with a 14-45 win on the road and a 7-3 win at home. The Rebels now sit at 5-13 on the season. (more…)
The Fannin High School Rebels baseball team has started the 2014 baseball season off with three wins in four games, with the lone loss coming on the road to the Panthers of Union County. The Rebels have posted wins over Towns County, Gilmer, and most recently a monstrous mangling of Murray, 14-1. (more…)
The nine seniors of Fannin County High School’s Rebels football team took their final snaps at the high school level as Fannin took on and lost to East Hall Friday by the score of 55-20. (more…)
The Fannin High School Rebels football team took the field on the road, trying to upset the Dawson County Tigers, with the intentions of thwarting the Tigers’ playoff chances; however, the Tigers’ took the win, 45-14. (more…)
Fannin had its hands full Friday night, as the football Rebels of Fannin County High School hopped on the buses for the first time this year to travel to White County to face the Warriors. The Warriors’ run game walked all over the Rebels’ defense in a 48-13 White County victory. (more…)
Fannin County High School’s Rebels football team kicked off the season with its annual rivalry game against the Bobcats of Gilmer High School. The “Cats” scratched the Rebels from the scoreboard, winning 22-0, with a plethora of big plays. (more…)

The Fannin Rebels’ football season came to a close at home on “Senior Night.” The Rebels honored all the senior football players, cheerleaders, and band members in a brief ceremony before the game. Fannin then faced the Vikings of East Hall. The Vikings rampaged through the Rebels’ home, leaving with a 34-0 Vikings’ victory. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels football team fell 54-12 at home to the Tigers of Dawson County. The Rebels never led in the contest and saw a 21-0 deficit before Peyton Satterfield scored the first Fannin touchdown of the night. (more…)
The Fannin Rebels football team hosted the Leopards of Banks County for the second year in a row due to the new region realignments. The revenge minded Rebels refused to repeat last year’s 42-21 Leopards lambasting; however a 43 yard Leopards’ touchdown run with 2:07 left in the game gave Banks a 47-46 come from behind victory on Fannin’s homecoming night. The Fannin County Rebels football team made the trek to West Hall to engage in a 100 yard warfare with the home town Spartans. The Rebels routed the Spartans, on West Hall’s homecoming, to the tune of 31-8. (more…)
The Murphy (NC) Bulldogs, the defending North Carolina A state champs, ran roughshod over the home team Fannin County High School Rebels. The Bulldogs beat the Rebels 42-13, behind a vicious ground attack that wracked up 381. Conversely, the Rebels rushed for 164 yards on the ground. (more…)
