Blue Ridge, GA – Fannin County Health Department presents the annual DRIVE-THRU FLU SHOT CLINIC at The Farmers Market in Blue Ridge on Wednesday, September 26th from 9 am to 3 pm. Drive through and beat the flu as you safely receive a flu shot while seated in your vehicle. You’ll also be helping public health staff and community partners practice local Point of Dispensing operations for times of emergency. 4-in-1 Quadrivalent Flu Shots will be $25 and Fluzone High Dose Flu Shots for people 65 and older will be $65. Cash, checks, credit cards, Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Coventry, Humana and United Healthcare Insurance will be accepted. The Farmers Market is located on East First Street in Blue Ridge. The CDC recommends getting a flu shot each year. HEALTH CLINIC on July 31st One-Stop Spot for School State Health Requirements!
Is your child ready for the upcoming school year? The Fannin County Health Department is conducting a Back To School Rush Health Clinic on Tuesday, July 31st from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at their location in Blue Ridge. The required Hearing, Dental, Vision and BMI/Nutrition Screenings will be available: Total cost for screenings is $50. Also, immunizations will be provided for school-age children for $21.90 each (for uninsured or underinsured). Medicaid, including Amerigroup, Caresource, Peachstate, Wellcare, and Peachcare for Kids are accepted. Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Ambetter, CIGNA, HUMANA, AETNA, Coventry and Meritain are also accepted. Free Rapid HIV Testing at Fannin County Health Department on November 20th
Blue Ridge (GA) – Free and confidential Rapid HIV Testing will be available at the Fannin County Health Department on Monday, November 20th! Hours for the free testing are from 9 to 11 AM and no appointment is needed. The CDC recommends that everyone between ages 13 and 64 be tested for HIV at least once in their lifetime, and those at increased risk – such as gay and bisexual men, injection drug users, or persons with multiple sexual partners – should be tested at least annually. Blue Ridge, GA – The Fannin County Health Department is conducting a HEPATITIS C CLINIC on Monday, July 10th from 9 AM to Noon at their location at 95 Ouida Street in Blue Ridge. The clinic is offering FREE Rapid Hepatitis C Testing. Hepatitis C is 10 times more infectious that HIV and more than 75% of adults with Hepatitis C are Baby Boomers – people born between 1945 and 1965. Most people who are infected with Hepatitis C don’t know it; therefore, getting tested is key! FANNIN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT CLOSED DUE TO OVERNIGHT STORMS
THE FANNIN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT IN BLUE RIDGE, GA WILL CLOSE TODAY AT 11 AM DUE TO FALLEN TREES AND OTHER DEBRIS IN ROADWAYS RESULTING FROM OVERNIGHT STORMS. FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE POSTED TO THE WEBSITE AT NGHD.ORG.
Due to the potential for early morning wintry road conditions, the Fannin County Health Department in Blue Ridge will delay opening until 10 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
