Hope Flowers Ross

July 27, 1980 – January 13, 2019

Hope Flowers Ross, age 38 of Mineral Bluff, passed away Sunday morning, January 13, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. Hope was born July 27, 1980 in Copperhill, TN to James Flowers and Patricia Snow Meredith. A graduate of Fannin County High School and North Georgia College and State University, Hope obtained a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. She worked as a probation officer for many years and also a teacher and director at Milestones Learning Center. Above all else, Hope loved being a mother, her children were her life. In her spare time she liked to watch NASCAR and she was a big GA Bulldogs fan.
She leaves behind six wonderful children, Kayleigh Paige Ross, Rilee James Flowers, Harley Grace Stanley, Brenly Paul Capuzzo, Prestle Judd Stanley, and AnJulie Grae Nichole Stanley, her parents, James Flowers and Patricia Meredith, brother, James Howard Flowers, Jr., two sisters, Melissa Cecile Flowers and Dana Nicole (Scott) Meaders, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Van Hook Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zachary Robert Flowers, Joseph Kamolani Flowers, Kevin Douglas Wishart, Brian Keith Powers, Keith Stanley Reece, and Adam Lee Powers. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Powers and Austin Craig Teens.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, January 14, 2019 and Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4-9 pm. Donations can be made to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.

Linda Webb

August 14, 1946 – January 9, 2019

Linda Webb, beloved wife, daughter, mother, aunt, and friend, passed away Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019. She died peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Linda loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, a conservationist, and co-founder of the Greater Atlanta Safari Club. She enjoyed volunteering at a local, non-profit Thrift store. She also loved to travel all around the world, and was a natural nurturer to those around her. Linda was a loyal friend and never betrayed a confidence. Her life mantra was “You’re only as good as your word.”
Linda was born on August 14, 1946. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John E. Webb, parents, Homer and Sarah Davis Gray, and brother, William Gray, she is survived by daughter, Betsy (Chris) Hofflin of Tampa, Florida, niece, Sherry Gray Browning of Dahlonega, nephew, Michael Gray of Blue Ridge, niece, Sharee (Eric) Gibson of Orlando, Florida, nephew, Shannon (Tina) Gray of Blue Ridge, great nephew, Jacob Gray, of Blue Ridge, great nephew, Brandon Gibson and great niece, Alicia Gibson.
A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 13 at Chastain Memorial Park with Reverend Ron Wikander officiating with eulogies delivered by Randy Durden and Dr. Hank Zachary. Pallbearers will be Paul Nickelson, Steve Holland, Shannon Gray, Jacob Gray, Waymond Hamilton, and Anthony Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Bundschu, Brian Huffman, Dr. Hank Zachary, and Zackary Taylor.

Billy Kenneth Johnson

July 28, 1943 – January 7, 2019

Billy Kenneth Johnson, age 75 formerly of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice House in Austell. Billy was born July 28, 1943, in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Luther “Buck” Johnson and the late Grace Davenport Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Joyce Foster Johnson and brothers, Paul Johnson and Ralph Johnson. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. Billy bravely served his country in the US Army, he served 3 yrs in Korea and was Honorably discharged. In addition to being a veteran, he was also a mason.

Survivors include son, William Wrazien, daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Clint Choate, sister, Barbara Allen, sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Jo and Ted Baker, nine grandchildren, Ethan Choate, Tanner Choate, Tyson Choate, Evelynn Choate, Piper Seabolt, Jason Peacock, Craig Peacock, Amanda Wrazien, and Trinity Wrazien. Also, several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2019, at 3:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with Chaplain Michael Briggs officiating. Interment will follow at the McCaysville Church of Christ Cemetery. Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers include Ray Lawson, Gene Lawson, Ted Baker, Rebecca Williams, David Burgess and Randy Patrick. Honorary pallbearers are Ethan Choate, Tony Seabolt and Shawn Foster.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 5-9 pm.

Sara Ann Schroeder, age 38 of, Blue Ridge, passed away Friday evening January 4, 2019, at her home. Ms. Schroeder was born July 26, 1980, in Denver, CO to Edward Schroeder and Cynthia Ann Schroeder. She was of the Christian Faith, an avid reader, loved history; especially Civil War History, a proud southerner, and very fond of her two Shih Tzus, Lilah, and Shiloh.

Survivors include her parents, Edward and Cynthia Schroeder, brother, Jonathan, sister in law, Laura, and nephews, Ryan, Blake, and, Luke Schroeder.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 11, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with her father, Edward Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery.

Eileen G. Larue, age 93, of Blue Ridge, GA , passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Pruitt Healthcare. Ms. Larue was born January 6, 1925, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Robert McAbee and Erma McFarland-McAbee. She attended the North Cobb Church of Christ in Acworth, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Elmer Larue, her daughter Randy Kay LaRue, and her infant son.

Survivors include: daughter, Cheryl Hawthorne, and three grandchildren, Nicole Hawthorne, Stacy Schmiedeke, and Stephanie Morales eleven great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside service: Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with Minister James Pasley officiating.

Gordon Chris Boe

June 20, 1932 – January 1, 2019

Gordon Chris Boe, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 5 in Blue Ridge, Georgia at 11:00 am, Damascus Baptist Church.
Born June 20, 1932, in Bagley, Minnesota, Gordon was a son of the late Christian Boe and Julia Rindal Boe. He was retired from the US Army, serving from June 1949 – May 1970. He served during the Vietnam War and the Korean War and earned a Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. Gordon will be remembered as a kind-hearted giving man, with a heart of gold.
Gordon is survived by his daughters, Katherine Jane Boe, Karen Boe Shadden and husband Jeff, sister Lorraine Boe, grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Amy Toney, Travis Boe, Hayley Boe, Bryana Sutton, and Brittney Sutton, and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Brooks Toney. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his wife Willa Nell Nicholson Boe and son Gerald Chris Boe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, stjude.org.
