BLUE RIDGE, GA – Fannin County Middle School hosted Club and Sports Night on Tuesday, August 28, 2017.
The evening allowed students and parents to meet with organizations within the school that offered extracurricular activities. Students were also able to sign up with these groups for participation in the 2017-18 school year.
Parent Involvement Coordinator, Deb Cantrell was available at the school to answer any questions that parents or students may have. She was proud to announce that “this is the second annual event” and that she “hopes to see growth as they continue in the years to come.”
Along with the Academic Clubs, which have participation throughout the year, FCMS used this night to showcase their winter sports. Students were able to speak with coaches representing FCMS Wrestling and Basketball, and take the opportunity sign up for these athletics.
With more than 15 Clubs and Sports represented, FCMS felt this is a great way not only to show what the school has to offer, but to also encourage parents and students to become involved with the school’s extracurricular programs.
