The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels and Rebels basketball teams travelled to Hiawassee Dam to take on the Eagles. The Lady Rebels lost 50-41 while the Rebels routed 64-49. Both games were mired in much disputed calls. [Read more »]

Fannin Rebels' Camp of Champions

The Fannin County Rebels' hosted the Camp of Champions basketball camp for youngsters between the second and ninth grades. The camp ran by Suzianne Pass, head coach of the Lady Rebels, and Scott Eggelston, the newly appointed head coach of the Rebels boys' basketball team. The campers were taught fundamental basketball skills such as: shooting; passing; defensive stances and positions. The campers were broken up into two groups. Those between the second and fifth grade attending the morning sessions, while the sixth trough ninth graders attended the afternoon sessions.
