The Fannin High School Lady Rebels softball team hosted the Lady Spartans of West Hall for the annual “Pink Out” cancer awareness game. The Lady Rebels shut out the Lady Spartans 8-0 after a brief ceremony to honor those who have been touched by cancer. Barbara King, a teacher at Blue Ridge Elementary School and cancer survivor, threw out the first pitch. [Read more »]

The Murphy (NC) Bulldogs, the defending North Carolina A state champs, ran roughshod over the home team Fannin County High School Rebels. The Bulldogs beat the Rebels 42-13, behind a vicious ground attack that wracked up 381. Conversely, the Rebels rushed for 164 yards on the ground. [Read more »]
