The Fannin County High School Rebels football team hosted the Oglethorpe County Patriots in the Region play-in game, despite not being eligible to make the play offs. The Patriots pummeled the home team 42-13, scoring 21 unanswered points in the first quarter alone. The game, the last home game of the season for Fannin, was also "Senior Night," which featured acknowledgment of all the senior players, cheerleaders band members, and their families. [Read more »] 

The Fannin County High School Rebels football team traveled to Union County to take on the Panthers. Fannin failed to rise against its northern Union neighbors, as Fannin fell 30-15. The Rebels were without star running back, Peyton Satterfield, and lost starting quarterback, Trevor Stone, for a few plays due to an ankle injury acquired while making an interception on defense. The Fannin High School Rebels football team fell to the Leopards of Banks County. The Leopards leapt over the Rebels 42-21. The Rebels simply had no answer for Bank’s bruising back, Dean Ewing, who ran over, around, and through the Rebels’ defense all night. [Read more »] 

The Fannin High School Rebels football team traveled to Rabun County to take on the Wildcats. The players of Fannin found out that head coach Clark Drennan was “relieved of his (football) duties” hours before the game. The Rebels were obviously distracted and Fannin fell, 35-21. [Read more »] 

On a night where the Rebels’ All-Decade team was honored, the Fannin County High School Rebels won a hard fought 34-28 overtime game versus the Murphy (N.C.) Bulldogs. Blake Henry scored the game winning touchdown. Henry’s touchdown run came after the Rebel’s defense forced a Bulldog fumble, on the game’s first overtime possession, that was recovered by Dakota Born. [Read more »]

The Fannin baseball camps commenced with Fannin High School Rebels head coach, David Dyer, instructing the youngsters in the am, and the middle school boys in the afternoon.

Dyer worked on the fundamentals of baseball, hitting throwing, and catching. The future Rebels received one on one time as well as group instruction from coach Dyer.

A few parents braved the heat in order to see their youngsters learn "America's pastime."
