Four Fannin Rebels Wrestlers Blessed by Placing at Blessed Trinity
The Fannin County High School wrestling Rebels road to the Blessed Trinity tournament. The Rebels collectively placed 12th, while having four place winners.
Blake Callihan placed third at the 220lbs weight class. He won with a 15-4 major decision.
Fannin had three wrestlers that placed fifth. Kayleb Chancey placed fifth at 106, with a 44 second pin.
Matthew Seabolt placed fifth at 120, and Sean Callihan placed fifth at 182, with a pin in the third and last period.

While I appreciate the news sources reporting on the winners in sports, I want to point out that my freshman son, and many others, are also on the Varsity team. There are more than usual freshmen on the varsity team, due to the lack of participants that are Juniors and Seniors, thus the green freshmen are put in Varsity. I want to mention that my son attends every practice, goes to all the matches, spends countless hours away from home on busses traveling till late hours of the night, and does his very best and does not get discouraged, even though he never wins against the other school's wrestlers. I just want everyone to know that there is a TEAM of Fannin wrestlers that all should be appreciated, even though they are never named in the paper and news source.
