The Fannin County High School Rebels track team traveled to Dalton for the Ronnie Rotary Invitational. The Lady Rebels finished 10th with 16 points. Julie Jacobs had the highest Fannin finish with a third place in the 400 Meter Dash. Stephanie Tatum finished fourth in the 200 Meter Dash. [Read more »]

Taylor Collis (10 U 73 pound classification), Carson Callihan (6U 46 pound classification), Benjamin Bloch (6 U 52 pound classification), and Carson Collis (10U 70 pound classification) competed in the USA State Wrestling tournament March 9, 2013 at Pickens County High School. The top 24 wrestlers in each age group and weight class competed.

The Fannin USA wrestlers competed in one of six state qualifiers this weekend to determine the top four wrestlers at each site who will advance to the state tournament. The top 24 wrestlers in each age group and weight class will compete for the state title March 9 at Pickens County High School. Carson Callihan won the 6 and under 45 pound weight class. The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels basketball team traveled to Decatur High School to take on the Lady Bulldogs in the first round of the state basketball tournament. Fannin fell to Decatur 54-30. The loss ended the Lady Rebels season. [Read more »]

The Fannin County High School Rebels wrestling team traveled to Ringgold to take part in the AAA sectional tournament. Three wrestlers participated: Kayleb Chancey (106); Sean Callihan (182) and Blake Callihan (195). All three placed top sixth or higher.
