Grady Cortez Patterson, Sr., age 71 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN. He was born in Fannin County, GA on Tuesday, August 10, 1943, to the late Dock Adam and Nancy Huddleston Patterson. Mr. Patterson had worked with Thompson and Sons as a foreman of commercial building construction. He was a member of Mount Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Patterson served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sue Patterson.

Survivors are son, Grady C. Patterson, Jr. of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers, Dock Patterson, Jr. of La Center, WA, Chub Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA and Van Patterson of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Shirley Jones (Sam) of Mineral Bluff, GA and Glouretta Hughes of Turtletown, TN; two grandchildren, Grady Cortez Patterson III (Trey) and Johnica Van Buskirk.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. from Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family requested instead of flowers donations may be sent to Disabled American Veterans Local Chapter #28, ATTENTION: Adj., 3571 Highway 2, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
