The Fannin County Boys Tennis team finished up the 2015 season with the 7AAA Region Tournament hosted by West Hall High School at Alberta Banks Park in Flowery Branch. The boys lost 3 – 0 to West Hall, with the other two matches still in progress. The rule is once a team has won the team match, you pull the remaining matches off to allow for other teams to progress through the tournament bracket.Head coach, Robert Evans, had high hopes for the Rebels going into the match.

“We were hoping to avenge a close loss to West Hall, who beat us 3–2 in our last region match of the season, but the boys couldn’t overcome a lack of practice time, due to weather, and a better team than we played the first time.”

The Lady Rebels lost in the quarterfinals of the Region Tournament.

Both boys and girls teams will finish out the season with the 5th Annual Player Faculty Mixed Doubles Tournament on Friday, May 8th. Starting time will be around 3:45pm. There will be a BBQ and awards ceremony as a part of the final event of the season.
