Fannin County Fire Explorers brought home 1st and 3rd place in the Annual Winterfest competition in Gatlinburg TN Febuary 6-8. Explorer Post 401 won 1st place in hydrant hookup and 3rd in The Cherokee Drill. Over three thousand explorers were registered from seventeen states.

said Advisor Rodney Patterson.

“I would like to join Rodney and let the Explorers know that both I and the Fannin County Fire Department are very proud of them. These young men and women work hard in achieving the goals set in place to get the job done. When demonstrating the practicals and techniques that we encounter every day in the fire and emergency services. I would like to take this time to also Thank Lead Advisor Rodney Patterson, his wife Pam Patterson, and the parents for their support and dedication it takes for this program to be a success.”
