The last day of the tournament proved to be a site for both teams. Both teams set up a show down with the Bobcats of Gilmer.

The girls’ game started off with a Gilmer begining 9-0, however, the Lady Rebels woke up, going on a 14-5 run to cut the lead to two, 16-14 to end the first. Walden and Kayla Chancey over came the 9 point start each putting up two big threes in the first.

The cats pulled away during the second quarter to go into the half 37-25.

After the break the full court press slowed the Ladies from Gilmer some, to start the 4th, with Fannin trailing 32-47.

Chandler and Chancey were named to the all tournament team for the Lady Rebels.

The guys would also go head to head with Gilmer in their final match.

Both teams got out to a slow start as the game remained scoreless for the first two minutes. Fannin finished the quarter strong as Logan Holt went for 5 straight points to end the first quarter putting the Rebels up 13-8.

A three point Bobcat second quarter allowed the Rebels to pull ahead with a halftime score of 22-11.

Sam Kaye caused the Bobcats to become frustrated with two big blocks in the third, helping hold the Rebels lead to 30-21.

Holt and Brandon Jordan got their shots down in the fourth, lighting up the shots for the Rebels to win big 54-39.

Holt and Jordan would be the selections from the Rebels to make the all tournament team.
