Celebrating Community Health Center Week, yesterday (August 13) the Blue Ridge Center provided $25 lab panels, free EKG’s, breast exams, and A1C tests as well as discounted immunizations.

The community response was so overwhelming that they later issued vouchers for patients to extend the special discounts for future visits.

The Blue Ridge center has a brand new building located at 165 Blue Ridge Overlook (on the hill next to the Comfort Inn just off Highway 515 in Blue Ridge.

The Gilmer center provided lab profiles at a reduced rate on Wednesday also. The center is located at 772 Maddox Drive Suite 122 in Ellijay. The phone number is 706-635-6898.

Both centers provide care Monday through Friday. They are also able to provide appointments the day that a potential patient calls.

Georgia Mountains Health supplies primary health care to everyone, regardless of income. Those lacking insurance and low income patients are able to pay on a sliding scale starting at $25 for a patient visit and necessary lab work.
