Mr. Clinton Verlin Queen, age 79 of McCaysville, GA passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN.
He was born on Tuesday, May 21, 1935, to the late Clinton and Mary Estelle Petty Queen. Mr. Queen retired from the United States Army serving during the Korea and Vietnam wars as a paramedic and instructor. He retired from Uniform Services. Mr. Queen was a member of Kingtown Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Reeley Queen.
Survivors are two sons, Mr. Shannon L Queen of Blue Ridge, GA and Steven L. Queen of Chicago, IL; daughter, Susan Estella Foley of Kennesaw, GA; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with the Rev. Jesse Sisson and Rev. Gary Parris officiating. Music will be by Mary Jo Towe. Interment will follow in the Kingtown Baptist Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard of Fort Benning, GA.
