Mrs. Ida Mae Vera “Bootsie” Dills, age 84, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at her home.She was born in Polk County, TN on July 9, 1929. Mrs. Dills worked as a clerk for Dollar General, was a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church, and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of Fannin Regional Hospital, serving over 10,500 hours. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Wayne Garrett; a sister, Imogene Davenport; a grandson, Gene Dwayne Dilbeck; and a granddaughter, Tony Mae Dilbeck. She is survived by her husband, Manard R. “Honey” Dills of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ruth Ann Dilbeck of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Arthur Kinser of Blue Ridge; special friend, Pearl Pinson of Blue Ridge; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. John Newton, Rev. Randy Hughes, and Rev. Lamar O’Neal officiating. Music will be by Tammy Hughes and The Charlie Farmer Family. Pallbearers will be the following grandsons and nephews: John Kinser, Daniel Kinser, William Dilbeck, Kevin Dilbeck, Motley Dilbeck, Doug Davenport, and David Davenport. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul and Christy Kinser, Bob and Lorene Landry. Deacons of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church, Noel Buchanan, Michael Westphal, Sue and Bob Thomas, Carol Phillips and Family, Pink Ladies of Fannin Regional Hospital, and Phillip Lynn Patterson and Family. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memory Gardens.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and the family especially meet with friends Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
