FCHS FFA members attend the 86th National FFA Convention

The 86th National FFA Convention was held in Louisville, KY on October 30-November 2, 2013. While in Louisville the FFA members attended sessions, visited the National FFA Convention Trade Show and Expo, toured Churchill Downs and the Louisville Zoo, and attended a Bulls and Broncs Rodeo.On the way to Louisville they stopped in Nashville and visited Music Row and toured The Hermitage- President Andrew Jackson’s home. Students attending were Lucas Ryan, Cody O’Neal, Seth Davis, Katie Patterson, Tyler Messer, Daniel Davis, Hunter Patterson, Lakota Towe. The students were accompanied by FFA Advisor Rhonda Mathews

More than 62,000 attended the 86th National FFA Convention. The theme for the convention was Ignite.
There are more than 579,000 FFA members nationwide. The Georgia Association has over 35,500 members, making it the 3rd largest Association in the nation. The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success, through agricultural education.

The FFA members would like to thank the community for supporting them in their fundraising efforts for this trip.
