Brenda Mull Cloud, age 67, a native of Fannin County, GA, friend, sister, and aunt, died in her sleep in the early morning of December 2, 2013 at the home of her good friend June Gay of Atlanta.Following a long career in retailing and product development with extensive travel, Brenda retired to Blue Ridge in her final years. Brenda earned a B.S.H.Ec. from the University of Georgia in 1968. She was a member and treasurer of the Atlanta Green Thumb Garden Club.

When Brenda Cloud returned to Blue Ridge, GA she joined her cousins Mary Lou and Larry Wilson as faithful members of Bethel Methodist Church in Hemptown, Georgia where she often served as a pianist.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Monda Mull; and her long deceased husband.

Brenda is survived by her sister Donna Mull VonDerLage and her brother-in-law and niece Fred and Heidi VonderLage. Numerous cousins and her aunt and uncle Hoyt and Nelle Campbell reside in the region. Brenda was instrumental in organizing a family reunion for descendants of Joseph P. and Della Mull.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Reverend Michael Morton officiating. Burial will follow at Hemptown Baptist Church next to her late parents. Pallbearers will include Steven and Ryan Campbell, Mike and Steven Hurst, Buddy Gay and Demetrius Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred von der Lage, Noah Wilson, Larry Wilson, Don Moore, Mate Hagey, Hoyt Campbell, Howell Bruce, Travis Holden, and Jonathan Holden.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday from 12 noon until the service hour.
