The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels softball team, fresh off a 2-2 tournament performance at Lanier Point Park, traveled to Union to take on the Lady Panthers, looking to avenge 3-2 lost to Union in the first Fannin game of the season; however, the Lady Panthers pounced ferociously on Fannin with a 7-1 victory.
Fannin found first blood, scoring a run in the top of the second for a 1-0 lead. The lead was brief, as Union took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning scoring two runs.
The Lady Panthers added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth and three more in the bottom of the sixth, to secure the 7-1 victory.
The Lady Rebels managed six hits, but did commit four errors. Jace Armstrong pitched another complete game for the Lady Rebels, finishing with five strike outs and 19 first strike pitches.
