Friday March 15, EMS and Rescue, along with a unit from the US Forest Service, responded to the report of a hiker having a diabetic emergency on a trail in the Noontootla area off of Forest Service Road 58. She was reported to be approximately ½ mile in on the trail, but when units arrived they found that she had walked out to the road and was feeling better. After being checked by EMS, she declined transport to a hospital.

Responded to the above area for the report of a runner dehydrated. Used 4-wheeler and two personal to ride in on trail to access patient. Made contact with patient and and he declined any treatment or transport. All units returned to service.

Dispatched to the above location in Epworth area for the report if a brush fire. First arriving units found that a control burn had gotten out of hand and spread thru the woods. Used booster lines from Tanker 6, Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 6, to contain fire until Ga Forestry could plow a line around the fire. A total of 10 acres burned. Fire Fighters also used rakes to put hand-lines in place to slow the fire down.
