Ruben Lensey Barnes : Obituary
Mr. Ruben Lensey Barnes, 85, of Morganton, GA passed away on March 11, 2013 at his home.
Born in Thomasville, GA he was the son of the late William Henry and Carrie Mae Edwards Barnes. He had worked as a Production Supervisor for Simpson Fruit Company. Mr. Barnes was a WWII United States Navy Veteran and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife Edith E. Barnes of Morganton, GA; two sons, Larry Barnes of Ducktown, TN and Lee Barnes (Harriett) of Morganton, GA; daughter, Lynn Williams of Morganton, GA; brother, Bobby Barnes of Greenville, TN; sister, Joyce Best of Eustis, FL; four grandchildren, eight great grandchild, and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday March 12th, at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to a charity of your choice.
