The Fannin county board of Education's work session was a lengthy list of field trip requests that were approved unanimously.
It is that time of year when teachers like to use field trips to bring the things they teach in the classroom to life by getting the students out of the traditional classroom and into a new realm of learning environment. That was evident in the mound of field trip requests that Superintendent Mark Henson submitted for the Board's approval. Some of the trips include the Georgia Aquarium, the Tellus Science Museum and the University of Georgia, to name a few.
Aside from the field trips, the Board tended to the usual business of going over the agenda for the upcoming meeting on Thursday.
All decisions regarding the agenda will be made official at the February 14, 2013 meeting. FYN will bring you the results of all actions taken at that time.
