Mrs. Thelma Hardin Grindstaff, age 81, of Cherrylog, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville, Georgia.
Mrs. Grindstaff was born in Valley Township, in Cherokee County, North Carolina, on November 3, 1931, a daughter of the late Virgie Hardin and Dovie Roberts Hardin. Mrs. Grindstaff was a homemaker and had been preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dwight Grindstaff a son Steve Grindstaff and a daughter Paula Grindstaff.

Surviving family members include her Children; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Betty Grindstaff, of Ellijay, Georgia, daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Bobby Vereb, of Westminster, South Carolina, daughter Rebecca Grindstaff, of Mebane, North Carolina, sons, James Grindstaff and John Grindstaff, both of Cherrylog, daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Mike Murneck, of Marietta, Georgia, daughter, Paulina Bruce of Blue Ridge, Georgia, grandchildren: Allen, Tony, Teresa, Charles and Dottie (Lady) Grindstaff,Mark and Anthony S. Woods, Austin and Jason Kirkland, Kayce and Jessica Grindstaff, Tyre Bradley, Enoch and Zipporah Bruce, Crystal Jenkins Marcengill, and Maria Jenkins Crowley, Great Grandchildren: Taylor and Kayle Brown, John Cayden, Brock Marcengill, Kendal Marcengill, Kennedy Marcengill, Anthony C. Woods, Brooklyn Woods and Dylan Crowley; sister, Louise Craven, of Charleston, South Carolina.

A memorial service of her life is planned for March 30th, 2013 in Andrews North Carolina. Burial will be in Valley Town Cemetery in Andrews.
