FCMS FFA Member Places in State Floral Design Event

Fannin County Middle School FFA member Maddie Mathews placed 11th in the State FFA Floral Design Career Development Event.

The event was held at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College (ABAC) in Tifton on December 1. She earned the right to compete by placing 1st in the Area 1 competition which was held in October. The contestants had to be prepared to create a corsage, boutonniere, bud vase, and a round arrangement. This year the participants were asked create a corsage and a nine flower round arrangement. Maddie is an 8th grader at FCMS. Thanks to Mrs. Becky Howard owner of N&N Florist for all your help.
