Mountain Regional Library System welcomes the New Year with special events at your local Library. January classes include the return of “Basics-Know Your Computer” and One on One assistance. Contact your local branch for times, dates and to sign up for your class choice.

The don’t miss special event is “Identity Theft: What to Know/What to Do. Every day we are bombarded with news that another internet site has been hacked and vital information about each of us is put at risk. Does all the news about identity theft scare you? Are you concerned about your online safety? Ready to learn how to protect yourself and your family from identity theft? Keeping your personal financial information secure? Topics include staying safe from scams, using internet sites, finding honest services, and much more. Information at the seminar will be timely and up to date and will help you make the best decisions to protect yourself, family, and your identity. Don’t miss this vital seminar! Seminars will be held at Union County Public Library, Blairsville (706-745-7491) on January 16th at 5:30 pm; Mountain Regional Library Headquarters, Young Harris (706-379-3732) on January 28th at 3:00 pm; Fannin County Public Library, Blue Ridge (706-632-5263) on January 29th at 5:30 pm.
