Matthew 10:39 “He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”Known unto You O God, are the deep longings of our hearts that are unfulfilled. We want to break out of the humdrum rut of mediocrity. Lift us out of ourselves and help us to be more of what we should be. Inspire us to lose our lives in involvement in Your service. May in a noble purpose for our existence we find ourselves and help us to be more of what we should be. Grant us strength to do more of what we should be doing. Our faith is an active faith. We prove our faith by our works. Forgive us for removing the divine obligation for service that You have placed in us by shrinking from responsibility. Remind us that the world is attentively viewing the efforts of Christians and that we must be found faithful.

We pray today for those in search of themselves. Would You give them clarity of thought, stableness of desire and assurance that You can take the clay of life and mould a temple that would be pleasing unto You through Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Amen
