Fannin tipped off against Rabun at 6:30.Fannin faced off against Rabun Friday night looking to send it’s seniors off with a win, but Rabun had something else in mind. The Lady Wildcats seemed to be on a mission to knock off the Lady Rebels on Senior Night. The Lady Rebels did not just lie down and let Rabun take the victory, they fought the whole game. Despite the score on the scoreboard Fannin played tenaciously on both ends of the court, Rabun lead Fannin 25-12 after the first quarter. Fannin tried to close the gap before halftime, losing 38-23. Mallory Arp and Ashley Ellison led all Fannin scorers with 12 and 9 points respectively, and Hope Cochran and Amanda Kinser hedged up a good Fannin defense but could not overcome Rabun, losing 69-44.

Fannin recognized it’s senior players at halftime, with those seniors being Bethany Taylor, Ashley Ellison, Amanda Kinser, Mallory Arp, and Krissa Harper of the Lady Rebels and Luke Adams and Morgan Kephart from the boy’s squad.

The boys had about the same amount of bad luck against this Rabun team, which was none. Rabun jumped out to an early lead in the first, 20-9, and never took their foot off of the gas pedal. Will Patterson and Luke Adams were men on a mission with Will leading the charge and Luke leading defensively. Patterson finished the game with 9 points and Adams had 8 points and a couple of blocked shots that caused the crowd to erupt in excitement. It seemed that every time a Fannin player’s shot was blocked, Adams was down at the other end blocking the shot of a Rabun player. Fannin would lose this game 62-44.
