The Fannin County High School Engineering teams competed in the National Engineering TEAMS competition on Wednesday, February 28th at Georgia Tech. More information on TEAMS can be found at http://teams.tsaweb.org/
The teams take an 80 question math, science, and engineering exam and submit a group answer key. The 9th and 10th grade team placed 2nd at the competition! The students were also tasked with building a straw and pipe cleaner tower to support a tennis ball. The third part of the competition is a written essay. The teams will be ranked at the State and National level in the multiple choice test and essay categories. If the students place 3rd or higher overall in the State, they will be eligible to compete in the National Engineering TEAMS competition which will be held in Atlanta, GA in June.
