Bear Claw Vineyards opened to the public in late September after three years of planning and hard work, and the result is something for owners Kevin and Michelle Swim to be proud of. Bear Claw is celebrating with a Wine & Dine Concert on Saturday, October 7th, featuring entertainer Kris Jones;  and they will host the Chamber’s October Business After Hours on October 17. The Vineyard also includes The Club at Bear Claw, formerly Blue Ridge Swim Tennis Club, which is a venue for events and weddings; and the Blue Ridge Treehouse, built by HGTV’s Treehouse Masters. ETC Provides Fiber Internet to Chamber and More

The Caboose has some speedy public internet, thanks to ETC.  Pictured are Chamber Board Chairman Paul Gribble, President Jan Hackett, Frankie Rigdon, ETC Vice President of Operations, John Moreland, Installation and Repair and Jason Smith, Vice President of Business Development. 
ETC is providing public fiber internet to visitors at the Chamber’s  Welcome Centers at the main office on Orvin Lance Drive, the Caboose in Downtown Blue Ridge and the new McCaysville Welcome Center.  In addition, ETC will be providing fiber to Fannin County in general. Named “IGNITE Fiber”, internet speeds will range from 50/50Mb to 1/1Gb (1000/1000Mb) “We continue to deliver the fastest speeds to the most homes so our customers can have a terrific online experience,” states Jason Smith, Vice President of Business Development.
