dawson-gafannin-county-ga TeamFYNSports 7-AAA Game of the Week

 The Dawson County Tigers(3-0,4-2) travel to Blue Ridge, GA. to face off against a Fannin Rebels(1-1,3-3) team much different than last year. The Rebel’s coming off last week’s win at Lumpkin, 41-35 showed they are a team of contention. Last year the Rebel’s defeated the Tigers in Dawsonville, 35-28. Dawson is undefeated in region play after taking down the Franklin Lions last Friday in a late fourth quarter push, 54-40. Fannin is looking to improve to 2-1 and unseat the number one Tigers and the Tigers are trying to stay undefeated and at the top spot in the region. The Tiger’s look to get revenge for last years late fourth quarter interception that gave Fannin the win. The Rebels are lead by junior QB Brad Davis. Davis went 18-23, 446 yds and 4 tds last week at Lumpkin. Davis has a ton of weapons at his disposal this year. No Stats available for Dawson at this time. For a complete preview Click Here

The Franklin Lions(2-1,3-3) travel to Oakwood, GA. for a region game against a struggling West Hall Spartans(0-2,2-4). The Spartans are in unfamiliar water and looking for their first region win after going 6-0/9-2 last year, winning the 2014 7-AAA Region Championship. The Lions on the other hand are at the top after going 2-4/4-7 last year. Both teams are coming off losses last week. The Spartans lost to East Hall, 7-24 and Franklin lost to Dawson, 40-54.

The Lumpkin Indians(0-3,2-5) head east to Homer, Ga. to square off against the Banks County Leopards(1-1,4-2). Banks is coming off a bye week after handling the Rebels, 52-28. The Leopards are looking to improve on their 1-1 region record against a struggling Lumpkin Indian team. Banks won their last meeting with Lumpkin, 49-46. This year it seems teams have switched places. Lumpkin finished second last year and are now last place and Banks is a much improved team sitting in fourth place.

East Hall logo2 East Hall Vikings(2-1,2-4) has a non-region match-up with 8-AAAA Johnson Knights(1-0,2-5). The Vikings are coming off a win at West Hall, 24-7.
