The Vision

Uncategorized

Most recently while walking through my house in the middle of the afternoon; I had a quick vision of the Lord Jesus. He was standing in a fenced yard. I did not see a full face of Him, but I did see the whole person. I came up behind him and saw Jesus wearing a purple robe like the one that He wore when He was crucified. He was inside of a fenced yard with his left hand on the gate, as if he was pulling it toward him. It looked as though He was beginning to close it. Over his head was two words written in very large, bold letters, Straight Gate. The gate was about 20% closed. He did not say a word to me, but I sensed He was saying, ”Time is winding down Bob. Now is the time to move in the day of my power. Work while you have the light, while the door is still open and the fields are white already for harvest.” I guess the word for the day is: time is winding down. It is time to repent, regroup and refocus.

Lu 13-24 Jesus said ”Strive to enter in at the strait gate; for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”.
I ask you my friend, do you spend time thinking about the straight and narrow way, and are you striving for it? I hope you are showing your family and friends what the path leading to the straight gate looks like. I mean, maybe, like helping them find it. Once Jesus, the master of the house, is risen up and shuts the door, and you are still standing outside knocking, He will say, “depart from me I never knew you.“

Question: Is there any chance that this could happen to you???
Jn 10:9 “Jesus said I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
I also believe he would say to us, that we, his people, have taken our eyes off of the narrow path that leads to the straight gate and that we are traveling over the bypass road because it is the quicker and easier way. Be careful, the off ramp will drop you off in the wrong place. If you see fire, and hearweeping and gnashing of teeth, you will know you took the wrong exit.

Luke 13:26-27 Jesus said: “Then shall ye begin to say, we have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.” (And you’re thinking, I never missed church. I should be all right.)
27 But he shall say, “I tell you, I know you not, whence ye are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity”.
Last week I shared with you the verse of scripture that I think the Lord Jesus wants the Church to hear today; Once again it is this:
Lu19:10 Jesus said ”For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost:” He loves. He loves. He loves!!!
1Tim 1:15Paul said to Timothy, ”This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” Go tell.

Now remember, Jesus did only what the Father sent him to do. He came to seek you out, and get you saved, and bring you into His kingdom. What a price He paid for you.

It pleased the Father to bruise him; he put him to grief: His soul was given, as an offering for your sins. The perfect sacrifice.
This just says it all. No matter what we are doing in the body of Christ, this should be the center of it: telling others about Jesus who loves us. I believe this is the true word for today, if Jesus loves and wants you; he loves and wants your neighbor also. Do you really love and care for others?

I have noticed that it is possible to sit in a church service, or watch a Christian program on TV today where Jesus only gets an honorable mention. Be careful now. Don’t let your Christianity get bigger than the Master of it. Keep your eye on the prize.

The Lord Jesus trained his disciples for three and a half years and then sent them to the house of Israel, but then he came back one last time and called Paul. He sent him primarily to the gentiles, you and me. Listen; when Jesus made the following statement to Paul he was already in heaven. It was after his resurrection. This is the last time, as far as we know, that Jesus ever returned to earth to talk to a man personally…

When Paul met Jesus on the Damascus Road He said, ”who are you Lord?” Jesus said, ”I am Jesus; who you are persecuting.” He came back one last time to tell Paul to turn men from the power of darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

Jesus knew that the devil was here and would be after us.

Jn14:30Jesus said, ”Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” He is saying, “When I leave, the devil is coming, but he has nothing that is from me.” (Don’t listen, he offers nothing for everybody).

The devil is still here and he is after you and yours today. Keep his hand out of your lunch box.

Mark 16:17 Jesus in the great commission even told us in advance how to deal with him “and these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils”. If you are a believer cast him out? Send him on down the road.

Act’s 26:18 Jesus said to Paul: “open their eyes, and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith, that is in Me”. That sanctified person that Jesus wants others to be like, with faith in Him, should be you. Jesus wants the lost to get on that narrow path that leads to the straight gate, along with you. He wants them to have the same inheritance in Him that you have. Talk, Talk,Talk.

Come on now, do you feel sanctified? You should, if you are washed in the blood. Can you say to others? Be like me? If not, it is time to change!

Phil 2: 15 Paul said, ”That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Do you ever see yourself as a shining light?

Jesus wanted Paul to turn us away from the dark world powered by Satan, into the Kingdom of God, The Kingdom of Light.
Jesus said, ”Fear not, little flock it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” The Kingdom belongs to you, but you can open the door for someone else, maybe your own family.

You, my friend, are priceless in the Father’s eyes. He created you, and is not about to leave you in a dark place without giving you a way out, even at the price of the blood of His own son.

Lu12:6 Jesus said “Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?“ How much more is he thinking of you that is washed in his blood? You are never forgotten. 7 “But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
You have heard the old saying, “you are one in a million”, and that is not true. You, my friend, are one in 7 billion; yet our Father knows you well enough to know every hair on your head. And if that weren’t good enough; not one person in the world has your finger prints, not one other person out of 7 billion has your DNA. You’re very special. Are you being all that you can be? Are you beginning to feel special by just being in his kingdom? Well, you should, because you are. Be careful though, He also has a good GPS system. He knows what you are watching, and where you were last night! Oops!

Well Bob, tell me, how do I really get myself right with God, and how can I know for sure. Well let’s take a look at step one.

John 3:3: ”there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews“. 2 “The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou do, except God be with him”.
Jn3:4 Jesus answered and said unto him, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again; he cannot see the kingdom of God.” For sure, my friend, you must be born again.

Now, let’s get qualified to be born again. All that is required to be born again is to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and then ask Jesus to come into your heart and wash your sins away.

Then he went on and explained what you should be like when you are born again. He said” The wind blows where it will and you hear the sound thereof, but can’t tell whence it cometh, and whither it goes. So is every one that is born of the Spirit.” In other words, your spirit should now be front and center, the natural man should follow the spirit man, and then both should be submitted to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will gently guide you as the wind blows; like a soft breeze. You might say I hear you Bob, but it’s not working that well for me.

Your problem is that you failed to change addresses. You can’t stay in the same place, living the same old life. You must change your lifestyle and your ways. You must keep yourself filled up with the word of God. Jesus said my word is spirit and it is life. The Holy Spirit can now breathe on that word that is in you, and, like the wind, it will move you along on the new path, one of peace, and blessings.
